JUJITSU WHITE BELT SYLLABUS

Jujitsu White Belt

The following is list of techniques that have to be learned in order to achieve a Jujitsu White Belt (7th-kyu) Grading.

  1. Etiquette

  2. Breakfalls (utemi waza)

  3. Front Punch (Mai Zuki), Reverse Punch, (Gyaku Zuki)

  4. Front Kick (Mai Geri), Side Kick (Yoko Geri)

  5. Defence Against Punches (3) (left, right and double)

  6. Basic Stances (Zenkotsu Dachi, Kiba Dachi, Nekoashi Dachi, Kokutsu Dachi)

  7. Straight Arm Lock (Ude Gatame)

  8. Shoulder Arm Lock (Kata Gatame)

  9. Hip Throw (O'Goshi)

  10. Major Outer Reaping Throw (O'Soto'Gari)

  11. Recumbent Ankle Throw (Ashi Waza)

  12. Kata Of Blocks

The amount of time it takes to achieve a white belt grading varies from student to student but students must train for a minimum of 3 months and attend a minimum of 12 sessions. Grading takes place within the Dojo at regular intervals at both King's Lynn and Wisbech Clubs.
