JUJITSU PURPLE BELT GRADING SYLLABUS

Jujitsu Purple Belt

The following is list of techniques that have to be learned in order to achieve a Jujitsu Purple Belt Grading (2nd-kyu).

  1. Rolling Ankle, (dari ashi)

  2. Valley Drop Throw, (Tani Otoshi)

  3. Wrist Locks, (Kote Waza)

  4. Counters To Arm Locks (4)

  5. Counters To Bar Chokes (2)

  6. Shoulder Wheel, (Kata Garoma)

  7. Head Hip And Knee Throw

  8. Nerve And Pressure Points (10)

  9. Defence Against Kicks

  10. Nage-No-Kata

  11. Demonstrate All Kicks And Punches

Students must have trained for at least three months from being graded to blue belt and have completed a minimum of 12 sessions. All techniques must be followed by a different lock, hold down or restraint. Belt Grading takes place within the Dojo at regular intervals at both King's Lynn and Wisbech Clubs.
