All dan grades (black belts) to be called Sensei while in the dojo

If a sensei shouts 'Yamme' (yam-may) stop immediately. This is for your own safety as well as others; it could be that you are training dangerously

Always keep a high level of personal hygiene and nails kept short, Ju Jitsu is a close contact sport

Keep your Gi (jujitsu suit) clean

Gum shield, gloves and shin pads to be worn when sparring, a groin guard for males and chest guard for females are also advised but not essential. All jewellery must be removed

Ju Jitsu is not to be used outside the dojo, unless you are attacked and required to defend yourself

Ju Jitsu techniques can only be shown to immediate family; instructor insurance is required to train others

Bullying will not be tolerated either in the dojo or outside. Anyone found to be guilty of this will be asked to leave the club immediately

If bringing weapons to training always keep covered, and your AMA licence at hand. It is illegal to carry weapons and if seen the police will confiscate them

Ensure your AMA licence is up to date and has a passport photo this is your insurance and responsibility to ensure it is kept up to date
