JUJITSU BROWN BELT SYLLABUS

Jujitsu Brown Belt

The following is list of techniques that have to be learned in order to achieve a Jujitsu Brown Belt (1st-kyu) Grading.

  1. Inner And Outer Winding Throws

  2. Variations On Leg Sweeps x5

  3. Leg Wheel From Behind

  4. Cross Ankle Throw

  5. Outer Wheel

  6. Variations On Stomach Throws (3)

  7. Ways Of Throwing From Behind

  8. Dropping Version Of A Reverse Body Drop

  9. Shoulder Crash

  10. One Handed Throws (5)

  11. Escape When held By Arms From Behind (2)

  12. Defence Against Two Or More Attackers (5)

  13. Kicks To The Lower Body From Ground

  14. Kicks And Throws (5)

  15. Palm Heel Blows And Throws (3)

  16. Defence Against Baton (5)

  17. Use of Baton (5)

  18. First Aid And Terminology

Students must have trained for at least six months from being graded to purple belt and have completed a minimum of 24 sessions. All techniques must be followed by a different lock, hold down or restraint. Grading takes place within the Dojo at regular intervals at both King's Lynn and Wisbech Clubs.
