A recent grading saw Gwladys and Jamie pass their respective belts.
Gwladys gained her 4th kyu (green belt) and Jamie gaining his 5th kyu orange. The gradings were fast and furious and both performing brilliantly, their technical ability and practical usage were as good as the club had seen for their level.
The night consisted of syllabus followed by kumite sparring, ground fighting, randori and a judo style randori which included throwing and ground fighting without joint locks punching and kicking, this was carried out to prove they could show control when in a heated situation an important skill when faced with a threatening attacker in the street.
