last monday 2 more of our senior students took their Orange belts. Mark and Paul were put through their paces and came out with flying colours, their grading consisted of syllabus showing their technical ability along with full and semi circle randori giving them a chance to test their reactions against multiple attackers. This was followed by standing kumite and ground fighting and finished with 2 on to 1 person, the aim of this is to develop their confidence while the adrenalin is pumping from the grading. They completed all section very well and were commended for the high level of skill shown when completing the 5th kyu orange belt.
CONRADULATIONS TO THEM BOTH!!!!! and a big thank you to all who helped as uke's and sparring partners.

In a recent grading, father and son Andy and Brandon took their first belts; they have been training hard for the last few months and developed their skills very quickly. Their syllabus work and kumite was excellent, also gaining a good understanding of ground fighting which they also had to complete as part of the grading. Their dedication and attitude towards jujitsu went a long way to giving them the distinction they achieved with the 7th kyu belt.
Congratulation to both of you and WELL DONE!
The club is one of only family friendly facilities in the area, that adults and children can train at the same time in a safe environment. Meaning no need for baby sitters.
Once again well done to you both see you at training for your next belt.

The latest grading session saw 2 of our seniors achieve their next belts. Gwladys gain a well deserved 3rd kyu Blue and Jamie gained his 4th kyu Green. The Green and Blue belt are both very large syllabus each with over 40 different techniques to learn.
Both put up an outstanding display of Jujitsu their syllabus work was carried out with precision, using controlled aggression, which is a hard thing to master, the art of using just enough to do the job without being violent.
They then also had to carry out 4 rounds of sparring against different opponents followed by ground fighting, this is done to make sure they have the spirit to keep going when they are exhausted and both coped very well.
It was a tough time for both and they didn't back down once, a true credit to the club and more importantly to themselves.

WELL DONE!!!! and CONGRATULATIONS!!! to you both..
